JSA BORNEO

GCargo guide

What are you shipping?

Type what you bought and we will tell you how it travels. Three words cover it — general, sensitive, needs review. Leave the freight jargon to us.

General

Everyday goods with no notable transport risk, restriction or special handling.

Common examples

  • Clothing
  • Shoes
  • Furniture
  • Plastic goods
  • Household items
  • Hardware
  • Toys
Sensitive

Batteries, liquids, powders, magnets, food, cosmetics — dedicated sensitive lines, surcharges may apply.

Common examples

  • Power banks
  • Batteries
  • Perfume
  • Cosmetics
  • Liquids / powders
  • Food
  • Magnetic goods
Needs review

Not enough detail, or a special nature — arranged after the warehouse or operations team confirms.

Common examples

  • Medicine
  • Supplements
  • Chemicals
  • Industrial goods
  • High-value cargo
  • Unclear description

These items are examples, not a permanent or complete list. The final class follows the warehouse inspection and the rules in force at the time of shipping.

Cargo classes on this platform are used for freight arrangement, warehouse handling and pricing. They are not an official Malaysian customs tariff classification, an HS Code determination, an import permit approval, or a guarantee of clearance.

Cargo classes — FAQ

Who decides the final class?

The warehouse, after inspecting the goods. The instant result here is an estimate to help you plan.

My item is not in the guide — what now?

Declare it honestly as it is. Unmatched items go to "needs review" and the team confirms the class and available lines.

Is sensitive cargo more expensive?

Sensitive lines have their own published rates and are generally higher than general cargo, because of the extra handling and dedicated routing.

Does "general" mean duty-free?

No. Our classes are logistics classes used for freight arrangement — duty, taxes and permits are determined by the Malaysian authorities, independently of this guide.

Can the class change after I declare?

Yes — if the inspection finds something different from the declaration (an undeclared battery, say), the parcel is reclassified and repriced, and you are told why before it ships.
